Hosepipe ban

Last year we bought a small water feature.It doesn't use any water,apart from that which was put in at the beginning.I thought I heard we could not use this under the hosepipe ban in our area.Why is this so if it is not usung any water ?

Hosepipe bans are made under a national piece of legislation, so the rules are the same whichever water company you come under. Here's the press release from Three Valleys Water - it specifically states that it's OK to continue to use water features:
