If you have washed a coloured top with whites, is there any way to get whites back to white without bleaching them?

I did exactly that the other night, washed a lot of whites with my baby's purple cords (ooops!). Afraid I had to resort to soaking everything in a bucket of bleach then rewashing them- they came up whiter than usual so it wasn't a total loss!

Don't give up on the bleach idea.

you can buy a sachet called colour rescue this will remove any dye you'll find it near the glo white in the supermarkets

Have you tried Glo Care Rescue/Rescue It Colour Run Remover?

The 'Rescue' is a soak, which is used by hand and the 'Rescue It' is used in the washing machine.

You can buy it in Wilkinsons and most supermarkets.

My husband decided to wash the only yellow T-Shirt I own with my beige stuff...

I ended up throwing a lot of it out, and dyed my favourite pair of trousers a darker brown.

Nothing else worked...
