I have just power washed my drive/patio and I was wondering if it was worth using a sealent on it to stop the weeds from coming through. Are they any good?!! I would really appreciate your comments. Many thanks!

Don't know what type of surface you have on your patio (slabs? bricks?) but we used two coats of a Patio sealant on the concrete slabs last time we power washed it because all the protective surface is removed when you use these machines. I don't think it will stop the weeds coming through. In fact I suspect power washing will have removed/loosened the pointing or the sand or whatever was originally between the slabs/paving making it much easier for moss and weeds to thrive in the cracks and we had to have our patio & path repointed afterwards. You will probably need a specific liquid week-killeer to attack any weeds which come through and this is a completely different type of product & purpose from the actual sealant.which puts a protective coating on the surface of your drive.
