Tory Donor Lord Bamford Funds The Reform...
News1 min ago
Myself and my Partner have just split. She has left the home and gone to her mothers. She states that she is not paying anything towards a house she is not living in, as I want to try to keep the house on myself. But still demands to keep a key to the house.
She is on the mortgage so half the house is in theory hers.
What I want to know is if she refuses to pay anything towards mortgage/bills etc can I change the locks?
Thanks in advance.

Make an appointment to see your lender and discuss 'Transfer of Equity' where she can be taken off the mortgage. You could temporarily take in a lodger to boost your income.
Does she still have personal property at the house? The only way you can get her barred from the property is to report her to the police for say, harrassment and get an injunction.
Unfortunately, if she refuses to pay her half of bills and mortgage, you are still liable (especially council tax). Keep detailed notes of what takes place in a diary - what you have paid for etc.,
Good luck
