Can I put 2 stroke oil into unleaded petrol and if so what would the ratio be?

Sure, but the ratio is dependant on the requirements of the machine. Most are 50 to 1...

All our strimmers, mowers and other 2 stroke machines at work are 25:1. Don't know if that's any help !!!
Well I would choose 25:1 as a safe ratio which many two stroke engines will accept without any problems on the basis of a bit more oil is safer than a bit less.

Thanks everyone - I am assuming though I can put the unleaded petrol/2 stroke oil into a strimmer which normally takes leaded petrol.

The leaded/unleaded question only comes into the situation if it is a four stroke engine with valves which might wear out faster using unleaded fuel.


With a two stroke engine it should make no difference at all.
