I have just received an answer to my question about a replacement for a filter in a kettle model 3067. Whoever answered it has either been looking at another model or has just picked an answer at random because in no way does it equate with the question asked.

I fully realise that the filter can be moved and washed but the lime content in the water in our area is so great that the filter like many other things wears through and needs to be replaced. None of the hardware shops including Robert Dyas can help and this is the reason why I have approached you.

Just where can I purchase replacement filters for Model No 3067. Are they available in UK or will they have to be ordered from China where presumably the kettle is made ?

I look forward to your reply and thank you in anticipation.

snooty responses to not getting the answers you wanted the first time you asked the question are unlikely to elicit a better response.
I responded to your original question. I didn't 'just pick an answer at random' as you ascert above. I went to the trouble of finding out what a 3067 is (you described it as an RH - it isn't immediately obvious that means Russell Hobbs), found it was a jug kettle and I know that jug kettles have flat filters. I also live in a hard water area in southern England so I know how often I remove the scale using a descaler. To that extent I feel that my answer was a reasonable response to your question. I have never (yet) had to replace the filter before the kettle wears out. I am pleased for you that you have now had the response above and delighted to learn that such filters are available as replacements - it may help me some day. However I find your response above somewhat offensive (by the use of phrases like 'just picked an answer at random', 'in no way does it equate', I fully realise'). Quite agree ...folks.. which is why I just left the link and no pleasantries!
Quite honestly this was so easy to find by entering it into Google . I just took a guess at RH meaning Russell Hobbs.

Hi shamshuipo (jack), Well you may not have realised it but this is NOT the Russell Hobbs spare parts department where you might expect to complain if they don't have the exact answer you wanted, this is people in their homes (or work if the boss is out!!) taking their free time to try to help other people who might not be able to find the information for themselves.

Anyone else wondering if the "Timewaster" author is now on the internet?
Well...it sems like no answer was the sad reply...not only rude but ungrateful to boot !
