please help, can anyone tell me how hotels and restuarants keep their laundry so white, my whites are going grey i hav tried all the basics in supermarkets there must be something else you can buy to put in your white wash to get the clothes whiter? please help

tesco powder booster is fantastic its around �3 i really noticed the difference the first time i used it

a teaspoon of bicarbinate of soda does the job for me

Keep it White from Glo Care which you can get in Wilkinsons or Asda ,chuck a cup of washing soda in with the wash or white vinegar.Always wash whites on their own ..never any coloureds in with them no matter how pale.Hang them out in bright sunlight for a bleaching effect.The best powder or tabs for whites IMHO is good old Daz.

thanks for all your advice i have tried all of them apart from the tesco booster which i will try, but the hotel industry must use something else, my white flannels just look grey after the first wash, surely they cant use new ones every time.

I can't see what you are doing wrong then.Todays washing powders and stuff all contain enzymes and brighteners that are more or less guaranteed to give a sparkling white wash.Do you think the fault could lie with your machine ? ..Just a thought ....Do you live in a hard water area if so washing soda is the best stuff to use in with powder or tabs whatever you use. This will soften the water. There could be scum building up in the outlet pipes somewhere that is getting back into the machine somehow.

Hi there, just an idea but do you alwas make sure all whites go in,only. I alwas do a only white wash as well as a colour wash and my whites are still white. I use all different washing powders/liquid so it shouldnt be the product you use. also what temp. do you do the washing on.? some too hot washes could cause it to go off colour. good luck.

hi yes i always use white with whites white shirts and white ccottons come up clean enough, its the flannels and towels that seem to come out greyish, i do live in a hard water area so will try the washing soda thanks
