i have just braved the rain and popped out, and a lovely man on a flower stall has just given me a lovely bunch of flowers (and im not even wearing impulse) i asked hm why and he said just for the hell of it. i thought it was lovely of him and he really brightened my day. has something nice happened to you today?

loopyc...thanks for sharing that. I love to hear about the kindness of strangers, it restores my faith in mankind (which is sorely needed after some of the frank, twisted and downright nasty exchanges we've seen on AB in recent days). :o)

this morning as I woke my son (2.5yrs) up, he turned to me and said "Mummy, you look lovely today". It was such a nice start to my day.

Hi loopyc , it started off bad day , but then my niece said she wanted to come and live with me , even though i nag her to death ,that was quite a nice suprise lol

loopy - i agree.The other day I had to go to the bank and so had to pay for an hours carpark ticket when I ended up being just 6 minutes!! So I gave my ticket to an old lady who was counting her change at the machine,and she was dead chuffed.Not much I know,but its the thought.

Well kind of I missed my lecture because my alarm clock didn't go off and it was all about the names of EVERY muscle in the body so I guess that was my bit of good luck.You seem a very nice happy person just what we need on here!

no my soon to be ex - husband has had four calls from that girl today, he doesn't know that i switched the sim cards last night. I have cancelled them all though, so she probably thinks he is ignoring her

I have felt wretched today- full of self doubt and thinking I have to give up my job cos I am so bad at it. Then I remembered that today is the 28th day of my cycle- so THAT'S why I feel so awful and emotional and hopeless!!

Well, Normaly I like to do things for others ex: when Im in a line up to get a ice cap I buy the person behind me in the line ups ..... simple nice things that make peoples days better right.. cause it feels so darn good...But somebody did something for me 2 fridays ago.. and I must say I dont get surprises very often at all.. a girl friend of mine felt I needed something nice so she planned a day at the spa for her and I and had her mother watch our children.. it was such a nice surprise ... I know thats not from a stranger but it is something I wont forget, it made me so happy... and it felt good to take some time out for me for once...
