Pilot light - central heating

My pilot light is not firing up, although is alight. pumps are working but no hot water or heating.
Anyone any ideas?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I'm sure it will have a technical name but near to the end of the pilot flame you should see a small bent up piece of metal.... This is the tip of a heat senser that detects your pilot flame has been lit, if it too far away it will not heat up suffciently and the boiler wont know the pilot has been lit. You can gently bend it towards the flame again..... shouldn't need too much :-)
This is a tempory job and you should be thinking of getting that part replaced.
