I have read that someone knows of a low pitched electronic squirrel deterrant which does not affect domestic pets. Can anyone give me specific details of it's name or where I can purchase it?

It's me or the squirrel!

I'm afraid these things are sheer snake oil if they were any good professionals like Rent-o-kill would use them - they don't.

Best comment I've read:

It works like a charm. Any time a deer wanders into your yard you throw the thing at it. After a while the deer stop coming around. Those ultrasonic
bug repellants work equally well. You smack the bug with the device.

Cheers Jake, that was soooo helpful.

Sorry but I really wouldn't want you to waste your money.

I know how irritating squirrels in the loft can be I had one last year and there's only so much scabbling in the loft a 2am you can take!

I went up there with a bucket of cement found he was out and turned out the light. I quickly found where he was getting in and issued an eviction notice with a trowel!

Otherwise it's a case of getting a trap like this:

any more helpful?

Now that's more practical Jake. I've tried sprays that have chilli in them , I've tried laying down the hair of Essex virgins (now that WAS a challenge) and soaked the lawn with repellant strong enough to knock out an elephant or Anne Widdicombe - whoever crossed my lawn first. I've only just returfed the damn lawn so it's like watching my money burn. I've got little to lose now, so perhaps we'll try catching the little ******.
