i have a triton shower that has a habit of turning cold when you're covered in soap. Last night however, it decided to start switching itself off once the water reached a certain temp. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Have you checked theres enough water pressure going in?
Has it only just started recently or have you had any need to turn off or adjust a stopcock anywhere?
as long as there is enough water flowing then it's probably the safety cut out termostate.these can fail and are easy to replace but get a qualified engineer to do it if you're not competant 'cos we are talking electric/ water/ people here. zap!!!
