How do I make a simple bead necklace?

Please can someone point me in the direction of simple instructions to make a bead necklace, from tiny seed glass beads. I regularly see bracelets and necklaces in a sweet daisy pattern, but ages surfing have only found shops.

Lots of the bead shops online also have instructions and projects, you just have to look for them.
If doing a google search, try search terms like "simple beading instructions" or "free beading projects" or "make a beaded necklace"

All you need is some thin cotton thread. Put a knot in one end (bigger than your bead), then make a knot in the thread after the first bead, then add another bead carry on until you get the length you want. Don't forget to leave a length at each end so you can attach the catch and eye.

If you want to do something more exotic, then you should find something under crafts (try ebay - then usually have someone selling instruction books).
