Hello,
I would appreciate any advice on this issue.
This morning I smelt a burning smell whilst I was in the shower. I then noticed smoke coming out of the Triton T100si unit. By the time I had pressed the off switch, sparks were coming out of the unit. V dangerous! Has anyone experienced this and what do you advise? I know I have to get someone qualified to look at it but do I have a case against Triton as surely something should have blown the fuse before it got to this point?
Many thanks!

Perhaps the shower was not installed in accordance with regulations and/or instructions ?

Get a qualified electrician in ASAP to check the WHOLE installation from fusebox right through to shower and take it from there.
Agree with Billy above. Triton didn't do the installation - they just supplied the unit.

These things are high current and should be protected by a 45A fuse or a 40A miniature circuit breaker (MCB) and an RCD earth leakage breaker. You get quite a big spark / smoke from less than 40 amps, so I doubt there is a liability issue. It sounds like a component inside the unit has blown. It may be covered under warrantee - depending how old it is.
