i have a single storey extension to my home
my neigbour who i have not spoken to for 17 years .
many years ago has fixed on my wall a trelis the climbing plants attached have growwn in the past into my roof space.
i have in the past ripped them back
recently my neighbour told me not to touch them again and that he would look after them. he has not done so and the plant is now clearly in a postion to cause damage as he has not maintained the plant as he said he would. the extension is not on the boundry it is some 50mm on my side of the boundry line.
please advise on what action i can take
regards

As for spraying the roots, well, what you do on your side of the property line is your business, as long as you're not doing anything that's illegal or will endanger animals.
Of course, you could go into the roof space and spray the offending growth with a systemic weedkiller. Not your problem if it works its way through the system.
