Hosepipe ban
5 Answers
Hi all. A 2 part question, I am in an area currently under a drought order and I need to jetwash the patio as it's becoming mossy and dangerous. Am I allowed to do this? I have scoured the water company's website but can find no mention of patio cleaning. And, here's the crucial query ; what happens if I'm not allowed but do it anyway? Assuming somebody grasses me up, would the water people have to catch me wet-handed ? Do they give you a warning?

Just don't water the lawn with it
I don't think you'll get a warning
Will you prosecute me if I still use my hosepipe or sprinkler?
All violations of water use restrictions will be taken seriously and this could include a 1000 fine.
