hot water cylinder problems perhaps?

recently fitted new bathroom suite which meant i had to turn the water off in the loft and the main stop ****. also turned the back boiler off. when i fitted the new suite and went to put everything back on, cold water runs perfectly but there is absolutely no water at all coming out of the hot pipes. can u help, please??!!!

ianthe plumb, is dead right, for future jobs,when you are draining the system down, leave all the taps open until you have finished the job,then turn them off one at a time as the water comes through,you won't get air locks then, if the washing machine taps are awkward to get to open the hot tap at the lowest point put your mouth over the tap and suck the pipe, sounds a bit crude but it might draw the water through, good luck, Ray
