i have some beautiful allium christophi drying nicely in this weather a couple have broken off is it best to dry them on stems or cut them?

Hi barber,
One way of ensuring you catch some ripe seed is to cut a bunch thats just begining to ripen, tie them together and tie a large paper bag over the heads then hang them upside dowm on a sunny wall or in a shed if it looks like rain, ha ha, give them a shake every so often to dislodge the seeds.
