Will my sugar snap peas put out more flowers now?
6 Answers
I've picked the last of the sugar snap peas, so will the plant throw out more flowers now or is it all finished? If finished, could I bung in some more runner beans, or is it too late? I'm a bit naive about growing veg you see...

It's a little bit late but with the dwarf beans you can more easily throw some fleece over them to protect them from chilly evenings. I find when I do this I just about manage a second late crop.
Thanks for all your answers. The peas are now out and some runners in, not many, just to see if I will get any. I have another set of dwarf french beans coming through now so thought I'd stick to runners.
Interestingly, last year I grew the same sugar snaps, but I thought they were mange tout kind and I picked them when they were at that stage. I'm sure I got more, and they lasted longer, probably because I was constantly picking small amounts. This year I left them to develop longer, and they seemed to stop putting out flowers.
