TV screen cleaning...

Hi, I have just been given a Sony Back/rear Projection TV.....I love my Dad!!! The screen is covered in smear marks....I have tried using a damp chamois...but it's not working....Any suggestions

If you are careful and use a damp cloth with a drop of washing up liquid on, not to wet so no suds, wash cloth to get soap out and wash off the screen. It has worked for me, so hope this will help.

You could try using a damp cloth with a couple of drops of vinegar on, it works on windows and mirrors too. Then use a dry cloth or kitchen roll to buff it dry.

If its a rear Projector it could have a perspex screen, definitely DO NOT use paper towel or anything even slightly abrasive. An alcohol based computer screen cleaner might be better on a soft cloth.
