glass hob
5 Answers
we moved into our new home about 4 months ago. the people who used to own had installed a brand new oven and one of those hobs with the black glass. after some use it has developed marks around the heating plates, presumably where spalshed liquids have burnt on.
i was jsut wondering what the best way is to remove these marks without damaging the glass.

Then rinse it with clear water and polish it up with kitchen paper or a dry teatowel.
Hi stevie,
Like shaney says the ceramic hob scrapers are really good.
Ours came with the Neff hob, Schott Cera Quick - googled them but all in German!
You could try Neff spares 08705 543210 (I ordered extra blades as the ordinary razor blades don't fit). Or their product advice line 08702 400080. The cera quick is specially made for glass.
It has proved invaluable for various tasks around the home, (I think it is the best gadget I have), great for removing sticky labels, paint, burnt on oven grease - the list is endless.
Don't be tempted to buy a cheapie plastic one with a blunt razor - because they do sell them.
Hope this helps you - if not let me know and I'll send one on to you...
