I have a mature Hibiscus in my garden and I want to move to a different spot.

When should it be moved and what conditions would best suit it ?

Hi Dewi, Hibiscus likes rich , free draining soil and full sun. If you really have to move it I would do so when all leaves have dropped, probably mid to late Oct and before the frosty weather. Come well out from the main stem and dig round in a circle to make sure you dont damage root ball and take as much soil as possible. Have your new position ready before you start . Mix in some John Innes No 3 along with your soil that you have dug out of your new hole, place Hibiscus not any deeper than it was before and firm well in. Water. Come Spring give some general fertilizer and wait. Dont worry if it looks dead, sometimes it can take until June to come into leaf. All the Best skylight
