I have lillies in the garden and some in pots. They have all grown very tall. Do I cut them down after flowering and how far?

Lilies are just wonderful flowers aren't they and remarkably easy to look after! Give them a feed now with a general purpose fertilizer and then wait. As the autumn progressses they will start to look ill and all the top growth will go soggy & yellow. Eventually you will be able to pull it off. Next ignore them over the winter. Like magic they will grow just as well (if not better) next year.
