Moped cleaning question

The other day whilst putting in oil, I accidently spilt some on the footplate (hard ribbed plastic) and its left a horrible stain. I have tried cleaning it with washing up liquid and water but nothing. Anyone have any ideas what I can use to remove it?

Or Swarfega original. Also good for oil stains on clothes - rub a little in prior to washing
