Where to obtain 'breathable' jacket?
5 Answers
I was not sure where to put this question so here goes. I find I am unable to wear anything with a nylon lining as it makes me sweat terribly. I am looking for something to wear when out walking which will not make me feel uncomfortable. Could anyone give me the name brand of a jacket which has a truly breathable lining.

I suggest you go to a reputable outdoor clothing shop such as Blacks.
As already mentioned, goretex is a breathable material used by many brand names such as craghopper, regatta and the high end Berghaus.
Goretex clothing used to be hugely expensive, but now you can get a reasonable jacket for around 60.
Althernatively - fleeces made from yak and llama wools are increasingly popular - warm, windproof and totally natural.
Still expensive though.

I have the same problem. I hate getting sweaty when I'm walking, and even though my jacket is a Gortex one, I still get all moist.
I just wear a jumper now, and am much comfier!!
Obviously I wear other stuff, not just a jumper. Some socks, for example, normally some sort of jeans, and boots help as well. Your socks get much less muddy that way. And a hat if it's chilly.
