hey can someone please tell me the average cost of one unit of electricity because we are trying to work out how much we are going to be spending! thanks

Thats a hard one believe it or not. Duel fuel,direct debit,tie ins and other offers put it up or down. My bill break down with british gas ( first764 kw10.93per kw) next537 kw 6.696 per kw.

I am with scottishpower and I pay cash when the bill comes in.
Mine works out at 8.25pence including VAT per unit on my meter.
I read it every week and minus the readind from last weeks reading and then say it is 105 units thenI times it by 8.25p and that gives me the amount for that week I have used.
I then put the money in an envelope and have the money when the bill comes.
I do this with the gas also.
