Hi there - Anyone know of any good web sites that might be able to help me put a name to a plant I've had for nearly twenty years. Current height of plant is 7 foot. Branches out all over the place. Leaves grow to oval shape - max length 25 cm/max width 12cm. Leaves have light green/sometimes silver speckling. Seeds produced are in pink pods a couple of cm wide, which grow into new plants very quickly and easily, so possibly a weed of some sort. There's no garden centres near me so on-line best option -.............thanks

Hi chilihead, Does your plant twine up a support. or does it grow from one stem? Are the leaves thick and shiny? Does it actually flower, if so could you describe? If you can give me any more info I may be able to identify for you. Not promising though but will try. Skylight

Thanks Skylight. There aren't flowers with petals as such - just small clusters of pink seed cases that hold the seeds. I don't have any of these to hand - I am sure it seeds a couple of times a year - but don't hold me to that. It doesn't twine, just heads straight up from one stem and branches off. I use a cane to support it as the main stem is no bigger than a couple of cm's diameter. Leaves are evenly spaced along the branches, and are not waxy. Leaves are thin and tear easily and veins are not particularly clear on the top/speckled side. The underside of new leaves are a rusty colour - they seem to get gradually greener as the leaves mature. There is a slight waviness to new leaves at their edges that decreases as they mature. New seeds that drop into soil sprout easily, and if any brances snap of, they easily root when put in a glass of water. The root system is a tight little ball - Hardly ever have to repot and it is currently in a 27 cm diametre pot. Over the years I've given many cuttings to family and friends - would be nice to know what its called!! Any help much appreciated. Thnx
