Talking about spiders (below), why is it that we seem to have all these weird coloured and striped spiders these days? When I was a boy (ok, that was a few years ago!), spiders were brown or black, now theyre all colours.

its because enough people didn't kill them and now they are breeding with other things and mutating and evovling. If we're not careful they will take over the world and we will all become spider food. My advice - squidge em before its too late
I'm with Janet. Or better still, set the dog on them instead. That way you can sleep soundly at night knowing you're not a murderer.
Hi cascarelli, Have you seen the article in Daily Mail today? Seemingly this years summer has brought more and bigger spiders than ever before., and as the climate gets warmer, new species - arriving on ships - find they quite like it here. What's more, they don't need a passport!! Anyway I'm quite safe up here in Scotland - its too cold!!! cheers skylight

Well, we try and set the cats on them but theyre not interested! The wife goes after them with a broom - the spiders that is, not the cats.

Thanks for the reassurance skylight, made me feel so much better!! Is there no control on immigration these days???

Thinking about it, theyve got much worse since Blair was PM. Guess I'll blame him

Hi again cascarelli, You are right there!!!! Maybe we need Maggie back to stand guard at the port and handbag them before they hit dry land!!!!!!!
