Fiesta Zetec S

Can anyone help me?I have a 2001Zetec S.The temp guage keeps going thru to the red randomly and back down again...not consistant at all.The car is running great and doesn't seem to be over heating at all.My oil is fine as is the engine coolant level.Could it be a faulty sensor? I ask only because my car was in to have the heating sensor changed last week (apparently a common problem in Fiestas) and ever since it's had this problem? Any advice out there? Thanks for reading.

It is most probably a faulty coolant temprature sensor, get the garage to fit a new one correctly.
