How can I get a musty smell out of wooden furniture?

Find a good hardware store and buy some furniture wax, not the liquid stuff. It comes in different fragrances from lavander to citrus.

i bought a wardrobe from a second hand shop it stunk of mothballs. bicarbonate of soda left on it for several hours then do as peapod says it will be like new.
