Spiders!
16 Answers
I am having real problems with spiders in my house just recently.
Not just your average little spider, but great big horrible ones. Iam not usally bothered by spiders but Iam finding it very difficult to share my house with these things!
Is anybody else having the same problem, or do you know how I can get rid of them.....
Thanks..

In fact there was one - Big Boris - stampeded across the lounge carpet last night. Husband threw slipper at it but it turned round and stuck two legs up at him!!!! Seriously it seems to be the time of the year for big boys - the frost will sort them out probably. Cheers skylight

They absolutely can smell fear too.
A giant mutant spider came across the floor at me t'other night while I was laying on the sofa. In a fit of panic I stamped my foot on the carpet in the hope of putting him off coming any closer, but instead he ran straight at me! They know how to use your weakness to their advantage. Evil little cretins...
Cats and dogs are great spider hoovers. I'd invest in a pet if I were you. Either that or live in a bubble.

You can buy a can of stuff called "Dethlac" from hardware stores and such places. Its in a green and white can. You spray it round your doors/windows/skirting boards etc and it leaves a barrier that if spiders or any other creepy creatures walk across they die!! I put it round all mine every year and rarely see spiders in my house becuase i absolutely detest the things. You can also spray it directly on them and watch them squirm. I also have 6 cats and 2 dogs to set on them and a big bottle of bleach always at the ready. Ugggg just the thought of spiders gives me nightmares
My wife was lying on top of the bed fully clothed reading "My family and other animals" (rather ironically) to our littlest two, with the duvet wrapped tightly round her feet because her feet were cold. Suddenly my little girl pointed behind her head on the pillow where a HUGE spider apparently was scuttling and yelled "BIG SPIDER". My wife is petrified and stood up on the bed and tried to run off the end to safety forgetting that her feet were swaddled up in the duvet. She couldn't move her feet at all and fell off the end of the bed at speed landing on her head with her feet still on the bed and knocking herself unconscious.Lol
We then had to strip the whole room ( took until 2.00 am) to find it and it had disappeared somewhere inside the panelling so my wife is now sleeping in another bedroom, nursing her head until it makes a re-appearance and someone can catch it.
For all the fear and trouble they put us to, don't kill em, they're only trying to live, and they won't be around much longer.

try almonds the really dont like the smell. Also have a look for a spray called RAID. It costs about 2 in places like Tesco, but if you are near a shop called HOME BARGAINS they sell it for 99p. You spray it on like Dethlac but it is a foam that dissapears to a invisible coating and like Dethlac it kills when insects crawl over it. It works!
