Best way to clean handbag?

Ive just bought a beautiful and hideously expensive handbag which is black nylon with leather straps. Unfortunately after a rather drunken evening its got sticky cocktail spilt on it. whats the best way to clean it? Help pls!

You should be fairly safe sponging it with plain water on the nylon bit, but I'd try a section that didn't show first. Have you thought about asking theshop you bought it from to phone the manufacturer for advice? They could probably experiment with an off cut of fabric and advise you accordingly.

Try using a baby wipe. Not too wet and very gentle.

Thanks for your answers. Ive successfully cleaned it using a warm soapy sponge and it looks good as new. Phew! Lisa
