Hi,

I got a chinese takeaway last night with sweet & sour chicken and egg fried rice. I hardly ate any of it and don't want to throw it away, can I re-heat it? If so how should I do it?

Thanks

Nuke it in the microwave..should be ok..thats what i do.
Just be careful here though. More harm can come from inadequately re-heated rice as opposed to the chicken, apparently.

Like Stevie-p says, nuke it for at least 3 mins on full power and make sure is piping hot all way through
... and eat it within 3 days (having kept it in the fridge) to be on the safe side. All the MSG will protect it from most things.
Yes, a good blast in the micro will take care of it. They often come in the plastic containers now. You'll see they say "micro-safe" on them! Just lift the corner a wee bit so as not to let it dry out as you nuke! If it came in the tinfoil container, pop it onto a plate with a bowl over the top, again to stop it drying out!

the golden rule is never reheat cooked rice !!
Try it cold for breakfast. Absolutly lovely.
I always have more tha half left over as well ..It never throw it out and always eat it within 2 days .lol
with chicken balls I would reheat them in the oven to crips up the batter and the sweet and sour sauce ..i would heat up in a pot ...rice in the micowave.

enjoy it !!!

Thanks guys!

It was even tastier the second time round!!

YUM!!!
When I cook rice at home I always make extra and put it in containers in the freezer - when I want it I just microwave it - I have been doing it for years with no problem - maybe I am just lucky or something.
