water meter
11 Answers
Hi, we have moved into our new house and they have a water meter fitted, does anyone know if we have to keep it as the person living here before was on her own and now there is a family of four adults living here and its so much more expensive to use the water, we would like it taken away as we didnt ask for it to be fitted and its just not economical for us. Thankyou.

All houses built within the last few years have had compulsory water meters fitted - it is not optional.
If you buy a house with a water meter you cannot have it removed and go to unmetered water.
If you are unmetered water, and have a meter put in, you can revert to unmetered water within the first 12 months.
