Builder did not leave user manual for vokera mynute 16e. I switched electricity off earlier this week to work on new switched but pilot light went out and now I've no heat. Anyone know where to locate the pilot light and how to ignite it etc?
There is not a pilot light on the Vokera mynute range of boilers. It is an automatic ignition that fires up when there is a demand for hot water or heating.
Make sure the programmer or time clock is on (calling for heat) and the wall thermostat if you have one is also turned up. And the mode selector knob is in the 'on' position. The boiler should now go through its ignition sequence. If it does not fire up then You need to re-set the boiler & follow the previous steps. if that does not work or you have to reset often then you have a fault !!!
To reset the boiler,
Allow 2 mins before turning the knob to reset !
Make sure that electric and gas is turned on to the boiler. All the valves are open. And the correct pressure is set. (1BAR) when cold. Turn the mode selector swith to the left two clicks (reset position) Then turn it back to the on position.
The "builder" who should be Corgi registered if he installe dyour boiler was required to leave you the instructions. You can go to the Vokera website and download the user instructions for your boiler. Go to www.vokera.co.uk, then to homeowner, then download literature. You want the user instructions for the Mynute 16SE. You will need Adobe Acrobat as it's a PDF file.
From what you told me it is obvious that the reason the heat did not come on was because the timer was askew as a result of the electrics being shut off and nothing to do with pilot lights etc.
Took your (plural) advice - heating now working and downloaded manual.
