my neighbour is upset because my son washes his car and gets there car wet so they called the police

If it's getting wet by accident (though to be honest, I can't really see how unless it's parked nearby and he uses a hose) then really they've got no reason to complain. However, I suppose if he is careless and leaving suds on their car or doing it on purpose, then I suppose they could.

Its not a matter of your rights its about behaviour that keeps a harmonious relationship with your neighbours If their car is getting wet and leaving it streaky then I think they are within their rights to ask your son tto be more careful or to wash his car away from theirs. Be careful when taking your child's side in an argument sometimes you perhaps won't have heard the whole story
