room thermostat

can anyony advise me on how to checq if my room stat is working properly.when i turn it up or down the boiler continues to run

You should hear an audible 'click' when it is turned up or down ???
Also Check to see if there is a loose wire in the stat or at the boiler. Make sure you turn the power off first !!!

Only way to test it though, is to use a multi meter & or carry out a continuity test to see if it complete's the circuit.

hi it worked yesterday but when i came home last night it deceided to stop opperating it again.this morning it is now working again.
