how poisonous is ivy to children?

I wouldn't think it's life threatening.

Have the kids eaten any or are you just worried incase they do ?

If they have, get them to A&E to be on the safe side, if not, there are many plants in the garden which are poisonous....including daffodils. Just supervise the children when they're in the garden and if they're old enough, explain in simple terms that the no plants should be eaten in the garden.
