Dyson hoover over heated?
6 Answers
Hi. I have a dyson DC08. The small one that collects animal hairs and is alledgedly anit-bacterial. I have just had to stop hoovering as it over heated, almost. I say this because I could smell something strange, realised what it was and turned it off. I then emptied the cylinder as I thought it maybe happened because of it being full. The heat came from the part of the hoover where the filtered air comes out. I'm about to try and clean the filter. Any other suggestions as it is relatively new.? I don't really fancy buying a new one. Thanks for listening.
P.S: The cable was fully extended and there was no kinks in it.

New filters cost about 12 so it might be worth getting a spare so you can still use your machine whilst the filter is drying out.
