I have moved into a house that I am renovating and freezing as the draughts are unbelievable although I have had a new central heating system fitted together with cavity wall insulation and loft insulation. I have discovered that the top of the fairly new sliding patio doors is one source of the problem, but dont know what to do about it as I certainly dont need anymore expense with having a new set fitted. Has anyone any ideas on how to cure the problem. They must have been very badly fitted and I cant find out who the fitters were. Would be grateful for any ideas.

A lot of patio doors are fitted with trickle vents at the top which can be slid in an on or off position. But if you are talking about the actual top of the patio door frame then I will leave that answer to a more knowledgeable ABer than me. Hope you solve your problems soon.
best to get in a professional window person, and pay them! or your heating bill will soar. Sounds like they need to be re-fitted. happy xmas x
