squeaky bed!

My metal bed frame squeaks like crazy! Even when I'm just turning over, it's drving me mad. I've only had it about 6months so I don't think it's worn out yet (!). I've tried tightening up the screws on the frame, made no difference. Please help me get some sleep!

Loosen the bolts holding the frame together and try putting a thin piece of plastic between the two surfaces so there is no metal to metal contact from the two surfaces rubbing together.
Done this on a bed a few years ago and it sorted 99% of the noise - the rest was the contact between the bolts and the frame which I couldn't eliminate.
Whats beneath the matress metal springs or boards ?

Thanks, I'll give it a go - the base is metal rods, so that's probably not helping.

I was wondering if puffing talcum powder into and around joints may help?

You could try vaseline...on the bed of course !!!
