That looks really good, but make sure you have something different every day, and maybe you could substitute some of that tea with fruit tea. Good for you to make such a positive move, and it's great that you're focusing on what you can have, rather that what you can't. I think I will follow your example.
What did you eat before, if you are consuming more calories than you were previously you will not loose any weight. It looks very healthy tho.
Might be an idea to eat a bigger lunch and a smaller dinner, so you have more of the day to burn it off but i'm not sure of your daily routine. Also this would mean less carbs in the evening, which is better for you, unless of course you are excercising hard in the evenings.
I was waiting for the january rush to die down at the gyms!!
I walk and will be doing Body Conditioning, Spinning and my own sessions at the gym but that wont be till next week should also be swimming before work.
I am not calling it a diet as I can never stick to them but just cutting out the crap I just wana know if what I am currently doing is even worth it being as I feel like I am eating all day long and not becoming a size 0!!!
I know... I joined a class last year with some work mates and my legs are my weak point anyway so about 30 minutes into the class I thought I was never going to make the hour but I got there.
Now I have left it so long I will have to go through all that again just getting back into it.
Remember that old saying "no pain no gain" it really applies to spinning!
Any fruit is good for you, including dried fruit and tinned (in natural juices).
If you want to give you body a bit of a detox, have you heard of "fruitarian" diets. Loads on the net. Try it for two weeks only. You will lose about a stone and your body will love you. You have to be strict- ONLY FRUIT AND NUTS!!!
My only other advice (as I am the self-appointed most healthiest person on AB) is forget about calories. Don't even look at them. You know what is healthy (whole, natural foods) and what is unhealthy (animal fats, sugar and salt). Calories do not mean a thing. Just make sure they are good calories. Eating 5000 calories of fruit and veg a day will not make you fat. 5000 calories of chocolate will.
I will not wish you good luck, as luck has nothing to do with it. It is mere phsysiology and psychology. If you want to lose weight you will.
I know about the willpower bit - I gave up smoking at xmas and thats not been a problem except I tink it may of increased my need to eat - hence my need now to eat this type of food
That looks like a good healthy diet and with a bit of exercise, you'll no doubt, lose a good amount of weight over time.
Indulging yourself every now and then isn't bad, after all how many fruits will you eat before you get fed up?
Chocolate in moderation is good, and dark chocolate has a lot of antioxidants so overall its actually good for you ... you could add it in your diet as say, a little treat for Friday. Make your diet fun not a chore, good luck.
Fruits contain sugar and starches so sitting on your arse and eating 5000 calories of fruit will make you fat. I personally dont eat bananas (mainly cause they are the devils food), and watermelons and grapes because of the sugar content. Although I am sure I have bashed this out with Ward~Minter an another thread elsewhere.
