Who can transfer 8mm camcorder tape to DVD?

My 8mm Sony Handycam camcorder broke years ago ...and I have a stack of old 8mm tapes which I would like to transfer onto DVD before they go completely obsolete.

Can anyone tell me of somewhere that does this commercially?

Putting '8mm to dvd' into Google throws up lots of places- otherwise try a Camera/Video Camera magazine or look up your local 'Video Club'.

get a second hand camcorder from the likes of cash converters or ebay - and connect its RCA phono video and audio output to a dvd recorder or pc. getting it done by others will be far more costly.

As previously stated a check in yellow pages may throw up a local service.
Or try E-bay they have several companies offering transfer of videos/cam corder tapes etc to DVD at reasonable prices.
You could always e-mail them and tell them what you require and get a firm quote.
