the pilot light wont stay on or ignite the main gas burner which is built onto the radiator,any ideas coz its freezin,thx in advance

Had a problem with the pilot not staying on which turned out to be a burnt out thermocouple. Only about a fiver to buy but don't know how much to install. Did it myself a few years back when DIY was allowed on gas appliances.

thx dilligaf for inspiration,just cleaned ignition with a toothbrush,works a treat now

A bit of advice, if this happens again keep a drop of brandy in the house. It won't light the boiler but you won't feel as cold.
