I am about to decorate my bedroom and have discovered that the walls behind my wardrobes are covered in black mould. I have had an air brick put in but even the installer didn't know how much this would help.
How do I safely remove the mould and what can I treat the walls with to avoid it returning?

you can but a mould cleaner to wash it off with. Then apply an anti-mould paint to the area. Then you can redecorate over it with whatever you like. Then ensure good ventilation. The airbrick will help but opening a window is better. Also leave a bigger gap between the wall and the wardrobe when putting it back.
