Spiky hair, Wax, Gel ?

Can anyone recommend a product for for spiking you hair?

I've tried a few products but none that have really done the job and there are so many out there.

I've had success with Fructis and Fishshape.

Also what do you ask a barber to do, if you want spiky hair. I know you can say, I want spiky hair, but what specifically.

i used to have spikey hair and i think i tried every product on the market. i came to the conclusion that gels didnt work, they are too gloopy and your hair just goes flat after a while. the best thing to use is clay, as it doesnt dry out and it keeps your spikes spikey. this was the best stuff i tried

you need to go into an afro carribean hair and beauty shop and buy hair gel with extreme hold. Buy Nixon hair gel (smell great-�2.49 for meduim sized tub) or buy i-freeze gel, the same price. These are gels designed exculisivly to hold your hair in extreme styles, whilst not ruining your hair. They are for all types of hair, european, afro ect. You wont find anything better. They are american brands.

Brands such as Palmers and King of Shaves all came out of the afro carribean hair and beauty shops. Its a shame that big companies only market their stuff.

oh, and the gels work so good that you can create a house in it and it will stay.

i have spiky hair and the product I am using at the mo is by Garnier. It's called Manga and it's in a green tub with an orange lid. A tub lasts me about 10 days. It sets VERY quickly and withstands gale force winds. Seriously.......!!!
I have tried lots of products but this is by far the best. Fructis is watery compared to this..........
