can paint fumes cause a sore throat which then tuns into a cold ....if so can this be contagious?

Yes paint fumes could give you a sore throat etc. A cold is caused by a virus!! not a tin of paint, but if you are feeling under the weather as a result of sniffing all this paint, I suppose you would be vulnerable to attack by the cold virus!!
