I have an indoor water feature, with lots of coloured glass pebbles in it. Unfortunately, they have lost their shine and are chalk-marked from the water. Does anyone know how best to clean them to get them back to their original shiny condition? Thanks!
Another idea: soak them in coke (which is acidic (phosphoric acid) like vinegar (acetic acid) but less stinky) or if this doesn't work soak them in a bicarbonate of soda solution (which is alkaline). Rinse well in water afterwards.
I use pebbles in the bottom of vases to hold fresh flowers in place. Sterident, the tablets that you soak false teeth in are really good at cleaning them. (Sinks & taps etc. too, which is what I use them for as I have all my own teeth, honest!)
