When you are a walking along the road, and you walk over those bricks in the floor that are see through, what is the proper name for them? It's not a skylight because they are not for looking through, they are opaque but also see through if you know what I mean.

They are a bit like those clear Lego bricks you used to get, only real!!!!

I've only ever known them to be called glass bricks or blocks when working on site. I don't think there is a specific name.
Glass blocks set into the "floor" to allow light into cellars, basements, etc. are known as pavement lights.
