Who is the artist?

I've forgotton the name of an artist, can anyone help me. he has a foreign sounding name, exibits in New York a lot and creates black and white part photo part collage works. They are all ver gruesome and disturbing, the one I particularly remeber is of a baby in a christening robe, floating down stairs. Thanks in advance
