Recycling in Preston??
4 Answers
Can anyone tell me where i can take my plastic bottles for recycling? I keep forgetting to put my recycling boxes out and as they are only collected every 2 weeks anyway, i have rather a large amount piling up in my kitchen. We have only just moved to the area and do not know where we can take them? Is there any recycling services at any of the supermarkets? Thanks

Depends on where in Preston you are, but there is a tip on Tom Benson way which will take them, also the one in Longridge and the one that's between Penwortham and Leyland (sorry, can't remember the name of the road but I think it's got a foreign sounding name!). I know that Booths supermarket in Penwortham also has recycling. You just have to get yourself into a routine, our rubbish collection is on a Friday and every Thursday night I look at the schedule (you do get one every year, if you don't have one then maybe you could ask a neighbour) and put out the correct bins.
Not sure if Morrisons have recycling but if you have a car then Booths at Penwortham isn't very far away. Also Tom Benson way is not too far, go up Watery Lane, turn left onto Tulketh just past the Spar and carry straight on up staying in the left hand lane.. The tip is at (I think) the second roundabout on Tom Benson way.
